Caffeine And Its Long-term effects
“I like to develop resilience in my athletes, and I think that’s kind of at odds with developing a dependence on anything. So if you don’t get your coffee, or you don’t get your soda, or your caffeine supplements, now your training goes out the window because there's a psychological and even a physiological dependency on that chemical. Craving a dependence on anything really removes the resilience that I like to develop in my athletes, because when everything’s on the line and the lights are the brightest, the people who have developed that resiliency, and consistency to rise above challenges are gonna have the best chance to succeed.”

Coach of 2016 Olympian Heather Miller-Koch

“Running barefoot might be comfortable, but at the same time, you can’t always be sure that you’re running in a safe environment. I feel like it’s really important to have shoes when you run, not only for performance enhancement, but for your safety in general, and the protection of your feet.”
